Jerry Sandusky says he's "innocent" of the sexual abuse charges against him, but does not deny that he "horsed around," showered with and touched boys while a Penn State assistant coach, according to The Sporting News.
Sandusky told NBC’s Bob Costas that his physical encounters were never sexual in nature. A grand jury indicted the former defensive coordinator on 40 counts of abuse, and Sandusky was arrested earlier this month.
"I have horsed around with kids I have showered after workouts. I have hugged them and I have touched their legs without intent of sexual contact," Sandusky tells Costas via telephone.
Sandusky denies that he's a pedophile but also admits, "I shouldn't have showered with those kids."
